You know you’ve won the genetic lottery when you pop out of your small round white escape pod and discover you are wearing a handy “box.”

So unlike most beings (aka the less lucky ones), you’ve just traded one cloaking device for another.

Anytime something wanders by that looks a little too curious – or a little too hungry – you can just snap the top and bottom of your box together and – voila! “Box turtle.”

It is a pretty sweet deal.

But sometimes you might get a little lonely in there.

It isn’t very roomy.

And there is only enough space for one (count ’em, 1) box turtle inside your box.

But coming out is a little risky, too.

So you have to choose your moments wisely.

The best time to come out of your box is when your large shell-less MommyGuard is on duty.

Not only will she make sure no one curious or hungry gets too close, but she will also pat your soft neck skin for you and tell you how brave and special and loved you are.

Sometimes coming out of your box is worth it – especially when you get neck pats as your reward!
