Whenever someone tells you to stay put for any reason, it is important to pay attention to the nuances.

Try to notice what they don’t say as well as what they do say.

For example, they might tell you to “shelter in place.” But then they don’t specify the place.

This means you get to pick!

Your choices may include in your private swimming pool, on your basking rocks, under your hay pile or inside the tangle of deep forest cover in the heart of your habitat.

All sound like excellent places, of course.

But there is the undeniable “stealth factor” that gives one that extra-special edge.

You see, when you pick deep forest cover, you have to be low to the ground and very stealthy indeed to crawl in and out. Beings who are neither won’t  be able to get in, and even if (by some miracle) they do somehow manage that, they definitely won’t be able to get back out again.

So – stealth sheltering in place it is.

By paying attention to nuances in communication, you can select the stealthiest possible shelter so you stay as safe as possible from any threat.
