Being responsible for your own survival – shelter, snacks, the whole bit – means you have to be sharp straight out of the egg.

In other words, if something tastes good and doesn’t kill you, it will probably make you stronger.

So you really want to remember where you found it last so you can return and check back for more.

A young and savvy shelled being happens upon a stand of fresh organic zucchini plants – just like the ones she found here the week before!

You also want to lock into your memory banks exactly what it looked like and precisely what it tasted like so if you happen upon it again, you can commence to chowing without delay.
