I grew up with parrots. They are small and quick and LOUD. I also cared for a group of rescued water turtles as a child – they weren’t loud, but they were also small and quick.
Malti is just the opposite. Malti is large and slow and very, very quiet.
Or, she is quiet when she isn’t trying to knock something over. Or shove something out of the way. Or dig a hole through the center of something.
She loves to repurpose things. I don’t know why she does this, but no matter how many times I will reposition the item in question “just so,” the next time I go out to check on her, it has moved again.
