Not too many beings go through their day thinking “I make such a difference!”
We just don’t tend to see ourselves that way.
We feel small. Maybe we are small.
And maybe we have a cute round curved shell on our backs and maybe we just feel like we do.
Sometimes we may even just want to curl up into that shell – real or imagined though it might be – and disappear for awhile.
But then the world will miss us.
For as long as that “Back in 5 Minutes” (or 50 minutes or 500 minutes) sign sits in the place where we are supposed to be sitting, an essential piece of the whole puzzle o’ life will go missing.
We are here for a reason. We matter. Small or big, shelled or not-shelled, we are needed.
Realizing this is what bolsters our courage so we can return to our life, return to this world, head first – (adorably cute) nostrils held high – to make the difference we are born to make.
