There are all kinds of reasons it makes smart sense to live in an interspecies flock.

For instance, by surrounding yourself by unfamiliar customs and cultures, you can keep your neural connections young and sharp.

When your flock includes cold-blooded beings (such as yourself) and also warm-blooded beings (such as your furry bestie and your large shell-less culinary crew), you never have to worry about getting too cold or hungry.

And when you seek out flock mates from different backgrounds you are more likely to encounter fellow gourmands like yourself.

With any luck, some of those gourmands will also be fond of whipping up “comfort food” delicacies and taste-testing them on you.

If they also happen to be warm-blooded and love you very much, even better.

Species is clearly no obstacle to a shared love of warm laps and tasty treats.
