It is easy to get hung up on outer appearances.
Maybe you have a shell and your brother has feathers and your mama has neither.
And in your little flock, you are evenly split down the middle when it comes to blood temperature.
At first, these differences can be disconcerting.
It can be easy to assume you won’t get along.
But you decide to give it some time. Take a chance. Take a risk.
Some time passes.
You notice your feathery brother has a very nice singing voice and he loves serenading you on your weekly ride over to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
And your large shell-less chauffeur takes special care to make sure you are safely strapped in and served your favorite delicacies right away when you arrive.
You begin to realize that underneath some of the (admittedly strange) ways you and your flock mates are different, there is also one way you are exactly the same.
Your warm and loving hearts.

Pearl, Malti, Bruce & their mama
Looks like Malti is taking a restful ride in a cozy place. Be safe my little friend💌
She sure is! 😊🐢
