Cuteness for Comfort with Pearl: Put a Heart On It

In large featherless circles, when you like something – or someone – you’re supposed to put a ring on it.

What the large featherless beings don’t know is that a heart can work just as well.

For example, let’s say you are having a bit of a bum day.

The news from the large rectangular reflective device isn’t what you would prefer. The mysterious microscopic visitors (whose deeply unimaginative collective name begins with “C”) simply refuse to pack up and leave.

Meanwhile, the spring nesting season is about to turn into the summer nesting season and there are still no ladybirds anywhere in sight.

It is enough to make the manliest of manbirds feel a little down in the beak.

Almost.

But then you remember something somebody once said – “all you need is love.” (With wisdom like that, they must have had feathers.)

This is good news!

You have love! You have loads and loads of love to give and to share.

So you share it.

You open your gorgeous grey and white feathery wings into the shape of a heart.

Just then your perpetually challenged large featherless photography assistant walks by. She sees you, is overcome with “cuteness” (and love) and grabs for the small reflective flashing device to capture the moment.

Suddenly your heart and all that love inside you is going out everywhere to all your extended flock and all your VIP fans and  their (hopefully) single ladybirds and every being.

And everyone is feeling much, much better.
