Anyone who thinks “sheltering in place” can’t be cute clearly doesn’t have any feathers in their family tree.

But for those who do, spending extended time at home in the company of a flock member lucky enough to have feathers may also give rise to, well, envy.

Luckily, this issue is easily remedied.

Just start molting.

Not only will all those falling feathers make for a great scavenger hunt to keep the “beta” flock members gainfully occupied, but once they figure out how to attach their “found feathers” to their large featherless bodies, everyone will look cuter.

Sort of.

We do what we can.

If that image doesn’t fill you with the comfort of cuteness, here is one that will:

See? Each falling feather is like cuteness…multiplied. For extra credit, try aiming your falling feathers at the least cute (large, featherless) family members to give them a running head start in the flockwide scavenger hunt.
