The super-competitive annual nesting season isn’t for amateurs.

Ladybirds have very high standards, and they expect their suitors to bring their A-game on every level, from nest selection to victuals choices to personal style.

For this reason, you want to make a fashion-forward first impression, which as every worthy candidate knows always begins with a ritual known as “parrot shower.”

Your goal is to emerge from your shower not soaking wet, but damp and dapper. This leaves your feathers soft for styling without requiring lots of extra drying time.

You can be out the (cage) door in a jiffy this way, with more time for courting while your competitors are still sitting there dripping.

A particularly fashion-forward suitor (with feathers) demonstrates the art of emerging from parrot shower “damp & dapper,” not dripping.
