When you are planning an extensive personal grooming session (which is ideal to maintain optimal prettiness), it is best to appoint another member of your flock to stand guard.
This way, they can watch for predators, leaving you free to focus on critical tasks like preening your feathers.
It is also good to choose a flock member who is tall, has a good range of vision, can sit still for hours, and loves you to distraction.

Once you are done grooming, it is time to be admired. Being so pretty, of course, you don’t have to look far to find another flock mate to take care of this for you.
