When you are planning an extensive personal grooming session (which is ideal to maintain optimal prettiness), it is best to appoint another member of your flock to stand guard.

This way, they can watch for predators, leaving you free to focus on critical tasks like preening your feathers.

It is also good to choose a flock member who is tall, has a good range of vision, can sit still for hours, and loves you to distraction.

I feel good about this perch. The Tall Tree is one of my (many) slavish devotees, and he can sit in front of that large glowing thing for hours. Plus he has the special eyewear necessary for good range of vision. — I feel good about this perch.
