Keen predators (with feathers) always have all senses on high alert for signs of prey.

This way, no matter how cleverly your lunch tries to hide, or how well-equipped it may be to defend itself, you always retain the upper hand.

Say, for instance, you are ambling along and spy a crunchy cracker safe in its hidey hole.

Well, well. What have we here??

Once you have the prey in your line of sight, you can use the element of surprise to quickly overpower and consume it.

There is no way it can escape now….even by crawling back into its little hiding place.
Tis but the work of a moment to fetch it out again.
