When something is very tasty – for instance, rice noodles, waffles, hard boiled egg, houseplant – the best strategy is to ingest as much as you can as quickly as you can before others start to notice and want some too.

If particles (mounds) of whatever you are eating begin to build up on the outer edges of your beak, this is easy to fix.

After you are finished eating, you can just wipe those particles off onto any available surface (for instance, a window ledge, table top, or the inside edges of your cage bars).

If you are in a hurry and need to clean the beak surface quickly, you can just shake your head vigorously from side to side and fling the particles off.

As a bonus, the large featherless being gets some good exercise from hunting down stray particles that may adhere to walls, floors, window panes or other articles of (formerly) clean clothing.
