In nearly every feathered species, it is the manbird who does the pursuing, and the ladybird who does the deciding.
Ladybirds are known to be quite choosy, looking for suitors with the glossiest feathers, smoothest moves, and best overall presentation.
Even the manliest manbirds can spend months (years!) working on their courtship routines before all that hard work pays off….at which point, of course, it becomes totally worth it!
