If there is one thing every feathered being wants to avoid at all costs, it is having to share your personal large featherless assistant.

There are several reasons for this, the most pressing of which is that the large featherless beings are challenging enough to train when there is just one VIP client to serve.

The more VIP clients you add, the steeper (and slower) the learning curve.

Yet sometimes it is unavoidable. Your little cozy flock of two inexplicably expands one day, and where there was the perfect 1:1 ratio, now there is 1:2 or 1:3 or even worse.

So you try to make the best of it.

The best way to start is to insist on being present for all flock activities, whether they happen to directly involve you or not.

This way you can not only keep tabs on how demanding your newer flock mates are becoming (and do your best to keep them in check) but you can also ensure you remain topmost in your assistant’s awareness.

You can accomplish this by displaying “cuteness.”

Everyone knows the large featherless beings are helpless in the face of “extreme cuteness” – and no one can deliver this level of cuteness like a being with feathers.

Like so.

A being with feathers displays “extreme cuteness” to ensure that he remains topmost in his (operative word: “his”) large featherless assistant’s awareness, even as she goes about the necessary task of serving lunch to his small shelled sister.
