When you are very hungry, it can be tempting indeed to just dig in.

Yet true gourmands are hungry for more than just a full belly.

They also crave beauty, grace, and the courtly refinements only the “Dance of the Gourmand” can offer.

For dancers whose tummies are grumbling audibly, the dance permits a polite turning away at this point.

Upon your return, it is time to select your first dance partner.
