As previously discussed in detail, even if you are small, cute, and fluffy, and even if you already own a great custom-made ladder from your grandpa that you can climb on, there are often still certain logistical issues to work out before it all comes together.
For instance, say you have a large featherless assistant who is slavishly devoted to you but tends to require frequent retraining.
You may think she knows exactly what to do to set your ladder up each day.
Then one day you wake up, and she has come down with yet another case of “ladder amnesia.”
Sigh.

Phew! I didn’t think she would get it again Pearl! So glad your beautiful ladder that the Big Tree made for you is up and working. Good job Mom!
It was tough-and-go there for awhile, Jeanne….but Pearl never gave up! 🙂
Be patient with us Pearl. Sometimes we large featherless beings are just struck motionless by your feathery cuteness.
Oh Mary-I hope Pearl listens to you!! He doesn’t know what it is like, trying to work in the presence of such cuteness! 😉
