Last fall there was a film called “Now You See Me.”
Even though it had some big stars and got good reviews, it could have been so much better.
For instance, replacing the featherless stars with stars who have feathers would have upped both the visual appeal and also the suspense level.
As well, instead of meeting in a dingy office building, the meeting place could have been held in a brightly colored nest (can we say “visual misdirection?”)
Plus, there’s no need for all those props when the most interesting illusion of all is the simple disappearance and reappearance of someone really pretty.

Here at the midpoint of the film, it would have made the plot much stronger to keep the props simple and continue the focus on the prettiness of the illusionist.
