In today’s modern age, many social niceties have been all but forgotten.
For example, there is the time-honored practice of making introductions (especially before one party ingests the other).
Here, not only is it simply polite to introduce yourself, but you can learn a lot from a name.
Oh thank you for offering to make the introductions, Grandma! So your name is “Crumb Cake,” eh?Well, you do look very crumbly and delectable! She introduced me as “the cutest and prettiness grandbird in the whole world,” but my actual given name is “Pearl.”I have to say (nom nom nom) your name suits you very well indeed! It was very nice to meet you, Crumb Cake. I highly recommend that you also connect with another being I know and love. His name is “Waffle.” I think you two would have a lot in common!
