The “chicken hawk” is a ferocious hunter of chickens….as well as other delicious livestock.
In the same way, the “waffle hawk” is a ferocious hunter of (you guessed it) waffles.
But the waffle, being even more delectable and in demand than the chicken, is a culinary prize only the wiliest of predators can bring down.
The ferocious waffle hawk approaches the prey with great care.He scans the area to be sure another waffle hawk isn’t preparing to challenge him for the prey.Feigning nonchalance, he then pretends the prey is of no interest to drive away other potential predators (including both the ones with feathers and the ones with no feathers). Finally, he scans the prey itself (just to be sure it is up to his dining standards).Finding the delicacy acceptable, he delivers his signature predatory move, the “bite o’ death.”
