A “gun slinger” earned the title by, well, slinging a gun better than everyone else (you could tell who was best at this by the body count).
In the same way, in the new modern (south)west, there is such a being as the “tie slinger.”
Working with newfangled technology such as the “pull tie,” the tie slinger first achieves mastery of his craft and then uses his skills to dazzle and intimidate others.
If those others happen to have no feathers and think they own your casa, even better.
Uh oh. Here comes my large featherless assistant – she has gotten quite uppity lately.I’ll just do some “tie slinging” to show her who the real boss of the casa is.First I’ll just nip one of these feisty ties in my sharp beak (she doesn’t have a beak so she can’t do this trick – score 1 for me).Now I’ll do a daring maneuver and stick my head through these two ties (her head is way too big to fit through here – score 1 for me).Now I’ll just nip the second equally feisty tie in my beak (see “no sharp beak” – score 1 for me).Well, Mom, how’d’ya like them tie slinging skills? Who’s the boss of the casa now!
