Cuteness happens.

You can’t help it if you were born cute.

Whether you chalk it up to good DNA, divine providence, an enterprising outlook (or all of the above), when you are naturally cute, the best thing for it is to WORK IT.

Fluffing the feathers and staring straight at the camera lets the audience know that you know that they know you are cute.

Because you realize it's not every day that others get to witness such cuteness, it's only polite to then offer a profile shot next.
Even if you get tired of posing, when you are this cute, it is just the polite thing to do.
Finally, it can help to look away for a moment to give the viewers time to fully take in the cuteness they've just seen.
Luckily (because even while resting you are very cute) you can rest and pose at the same time.
