Regardless of species, being sick sucks.

So when one flock member becomes ill, it is up to the rest of the flock to cheer them up.

Some species – such as the small ones with shells – don’t seem to find feathers very cheering.

But for other species – particularly those who are large with no feathers – the sight of feathers can (almost, nearly, just about) send the germs packing for good!
