In many tropical places, after a heat wave comes a period called “Indian Summer.”
This cooling off period….after real summer and before real fall, is a lot like….spring.
And spring (as everyone knows) is a time for romance.
All of a sudden it has gotten so sunny and cool-ish – almost like a second spring! And unlike some of my less-prepared competitors, I am still in possession of all my feathery spring finery!Yes, Mom – I think a few informal snapshots will be just the thing to help spread the word.Um….Mom….I said a FEW.Well, yes, I know I look very cute. Yes, and very feathery. And very pretty, yes, that too.So let’s, er, give the ladybirds the chance to have a look at all this cute feathery prettiness by, oh, say, having you back up….Yup, that’s good. How about just a little farther back….Your other “back,” Mom.Sigh. And we wonder why I’m always single.
