Halloween has a very, um, eclectic history.
For starters, everyone wants to claim it.
Celts, Romans, Irish, English, Popes and pagans alike – depending on who you ask, the holiday is about prophecy, potatoes (or lack thereof), the Apple goddess, saints, souls, and – of course – scary dead people.
All of which can help to refocus beings both featherless and feathery on the most important aspect of this festive time – fashion!
The goal is to have a more eye-catching and fashionable costume than your flock mates (on account of how the member with the best costume will be first in line for the best treats).
Here, you can use this simple rule as your go-by: you want to make sure your costume has as many feathers as possible.
Just pack ’em on in.
Put feathers everywhere you can think of – on your head, your body, your face, your feet – the more feathers you have, the more attention (and thus treats) you will receive.
Here is a helpful visual example of how to construct the perfect costume.
