As any employed adult (and parrot parent) knows, constructive criticism is just a fact of daily life.

So is supervision. You might not want it, think you need it, or have any plans to attend to it, but you are getting it nonetheless.

This is why the most effective supervisors tend to come in small, cute, feathery, and (very) loud packages.

First they reel you in with cuteness. Then they fix you with their “supervisory eye.” Finally, they deliver the (full-volume) criticism.

By this time, of course, you are a slobbering package of slavish feather-loving obedience….works every time.

I have feathers. Check. I am small and cute. Check. I am very loud. Check. I must be Mom's supervisor! Coooool.
