Being small and feathery and famous brings daily surprises.
For instance, who knew there would be so much competition amongst those who want to be chosen for your breakfast menu?
Who would have thought, instead of having to track, stalk, and bring down prey, the prey would be trying to sneak onto your plate – just for the honor of being consumed by a celebrity!
So when your dish gets unusually crowded with (untasty) interlopers, sometimes the only thing for it is …. the breakfast bouncer.

Pearl is one beautiful whiteface!!! I also see she is as picky as my Sydney (also a whiteface tiel) and likes the pick and toss game lol. What a sweet piece of writing!
Yup – sounds like Sydney and Pearl share gourmet sensibilities…and a “fun first” approach to dining! 🙂
Yes! Luckily, Syd thinks Kale is a hoot :-). Pellets, well that is another story.
Haha – Pearl loathes pellets!! Fuggedabout it!! 🙂 Arugula, on the other hand…. 😉
