Over time, you have observed that each of the featherless beings in your flock comes equipped with a small rectangular flashing device.

On account of how you are the only one who doesn’t have a device – and none of them have any feathers – you can only assume the device is meant to help them overcome this evolutionary hurdle.

For this reason as well, you always like to offer your presence for moral support when a flockmate’s device isn’t working right.

Often, just sitting near the device is enough to jump start it back to proper working order.

Uh oh. It looks like Grandpa's device is acting up again.

I’ll just preen my feathers a bit – the dander from my preening should help it work again.
Don't worry, Grandpa - the power of "cuteness" never fails!
Don’t worry, Grandpa – when all else fails, we can break out the fool-proof power of “cuteness!”
