Being a small, feathery, “alpha” flock leader comes with many responsibilities.
For instance, you have to teach the other flock members how to fix your breakfast properly.
You have to pose for endless photo ops even when you’d rather nap or shred things.
And you have to keep a watchful eye on what’s yours or risk it being repossessed.
For example, maybe one day the temperature drops.
All of a sudden your large featherless assistant (a clear “beta” flock member if you’ve ever seen one) begins referring to the small square brown warm thing as “her” heater – and pointing it at herself!
When this occurs, you want to quickly correct the misunderstanding using strong, clear “nonverbal” communication….and get her to point it at you instead.
