When attending a meal with the large featherless beings, it is helpful to understand their traditions.
For instance, typically the host will set out all the plates in advance. This helps the attendees know where to sit, and also to guard their portions from their fellow diners.
If you are aware of this tradition, you can select your plate early. You want to select the largest one – of course – but also the one closest to the chef so they will serve you the freshest delicacies.
