The large featherless being here….

When you live in an interspecies flock, every day is a chance to see your familiar world in a whole new way…..and sometimes in an “I think I live with E.T.” kind of way.

For instance, maybe I’m just going about my normal daily routine as usual. And then at some point during the day I decide I’d like to have a piece of fruit.

So I go over to the casa’s fruit basket to peruse the selection and make my choice.

Hmmm. The fruit basket looks a little different today…..I wonder what it could be?

  1. Ha, ha! All our fruit must be stored in air baskets that have a lid. Otherwise, they would all be tasted – if not consumed – by our cockatoo. He loves to forage!

    1. I love the expression on his face. He seems to be a bit irritated at the interruption.
