Being a Dad or a Mom is a pretty big deal, for sure.

But being a grandbirdparent – now that is something special.

And being a grandturtleparent – how many beings on this small round blue planet can add that singular honor to their lifetime resume?

At first glance, it might seem like your large featherless/shell-less mama does the bulk of the heavy lifting when it comes to boring chores like sweeping, scouring, showering and – of course – enforcing those endlessly tiresome household safety rules.

But just take a peek behind the scenes and you’ll see where the real power – and heart – of the flock truly lies.
