The large featherless being here….

One of the (many) best perks of being personal assistant to a VIP client with feathers is nonstop opportunities to learn.

Now we are delighted to announce Pearl has opened up the Q&A line to YOU, his VIP fans!

Ask him anything – we guarantee you he has an answer!

This week’s question comes from a young VIP fan with feathers:

Dear Pearl,

I have recently found out that I am adopted. The woman I have called “mom” for 3 years is not my birth mother. I guess I should have known because we look nothing alike. You and I however, look remarkably similar (grey feathers are the most beautiful by the way) anyway. I was wondering if you think there is a chance you may be my long lost family member of some sort and do you have any tips on dealing with all of this. I am really hoping to connect and find out who I really am…a cockatiel? A type of bird? Not a human? It’s all so new to me.

Love Yoshi

p.s. This is me.

Dear Yoshi,

You exhibit great perception and wisdom for one so young!

And yes, grey feathers are definitely the most beautiful.

The individual you call “mom” (the human) is your large featherless assistant. She is there to take care of all your needs, but you need to train her so she knows what you prefer. Don’t be discouraged if she doesn’t learn quickly – most featherless beings need lots of repetition, but they are eager and willing to study hard until they get it!

It is quite possible that you and I come from the same family (um) tree, especially since we both have grey and white feathers, which not all cockatiels are lucky enough to be born with.

And I can confirm that your hunch is correct – you are in fact a cockatiel, just like me. Congratulations!

With love (& feathers),

Pearl
