“Inspector Popcorn”
(There is no curtain, just a plain bowl full of popcorn sitting in the stark, still center of the stage. The famous and feathery actor appears. The applause is deafening.)
(The being known as “Mom” makes a grumpy sound. Pearl returns to chomping. More distant cheers can be heard from the depths of the popcorn bowl.)
