Parrots are very giving and generous.

Whatever they have, they want to share it.

If they love you, they want to share it even more….and share even more of it.

This means that once you welcome a being with feathers into your life, every day is like your birthday. You will get surprise presents just when you least expect them. And no two presents will ever be exactly alike!

One present you can expect to get once (several) times each day is the reminder to rest. While sometimes this reminder is prefaced with a series of shrieks that escalate in volume from one to the next, typically this only occurs at day’s end when your avian is ready for his extra-long night time nap.

Mostly, the reminder occurs spontaneously, when you look up from whatever it is you were thinking about or working on and catch a glimpse of a certain feathered someone, cute round eyes closed and small feathery form in perfect repose.

Best of all, if you miss one reminder, you can be sure the next reminder isn’t far away!

A petite feathery being reminds his large featherless assistant of the importance of taking time to rest.
