Being a top secret “black ops” agent is always challenging, even if your cover identity is something bland and quiet. But some agents can only carry out their work when they have access to the highest circles of society, which necessitates a more visible cover identity as well.

The good news here is, a very visible and high profile cover identity can also be effective in camouflaging your actions when you working are on a case. For instance, when you ask unusual questions or show up in unexpected places, you can just explain you are doing research for a new part!

Love & Feathers is proud to present the world-famous and feathery actor Pearl Cutts in his latest one-avian play:

“Big Bowl Meeting”

Ticketholders are encouraged to find their seats quickly. Since the ushers look somewhat grumpier than usual, the fans actually make an attempt to be sort of orderly as they enter the theater. This unexpected reprieve cheers up the ushers, who look much cheerier and more relaxed as the lights dim for the play to start.

You called and I came. So what is this “top secret” matter you need to discuss so urgently?
Yes, I am sure I was not followed. Yes, I am sure this location is secure.
Yes, that is just “Mom,” my large featherless assistant and press secretary. Yes, she is a part of my cover identity as a famous and feathery actor.
So let’s have it – what is this urgent matter you wanted to discuss?
Your seedlings want my beak-o-graph? And you wanted to do it in private to avoid my hordes of fans?
Oh hello, “Mom,” – yes, these “black ops” trainees got a little confused about what “top secret” means. I am going to do some beak-o-graphs for them and send them on their way.

Moments later, the star can be seen to hop off the bowl and make his way backstage. Inside the big bowl, the top secret visitors are looking distinctly chastened….and trimmed….especially around their green and white tops.

The End.
