As technology gets more advanced, it is just a matter of time before more new life forms are identified.

Of course, once you have found a new life form, you don’t want to send in just anybody to do the identifying. You need to pick someone with seasoned skills in the subtle communication arts.

You also want someone who is brave and confident and won’t, well, crack under pressure.

Love & Feathers is proud to present the world-famous and feathery actor Pearl Cutts in his latest one-avian play:

“A Small White Dome”

The theater hall is quite bright as ticket holders walk inside to find their seats. Even though the stage curtains remain drawn, it is impossible for fans not to notice the various video cameras set up and blinking all around the perimeter of the hall. Every single video camera is pointing at center stage.

The curious fans settle themselves quickly and (amazingly) fairly quietly.

Yes, hello. You there – the small white dome. You smell good. I mean, what are you called?
“Egg?” That’s it – just “Egg?” Well alright, but I must say – that’s not very catchy.
Yes, let the record show the dome identified itself as “Egg.”
Yes, “Mom?” Yes, I know the President is waiting. Well, the life form is rather shy. I got his first name, at least. Yes. He says his name is “Egg.”
So, look, there’s this dude with yellow hair who really wants to know your last name. Yes, we’ll just enter it into the record and then you can go.
Okay, “Mom,” you can tell them his name is “Egg, Hard-Boiled.” Yes, that is how he likes it to be said.

As the visiting dignitaries cluster together with members of the press, each intent on breaking the shocking story first, the star and the small white dome really appear to have hit it off.

Then suddenly, mysteriously, the dome starts….shrinking….as tiny nibble marks increasingly appear on its surface.

The curtain snaps shut.

The End.
