Every single day in the life and career of a top secret agent like .007 is guaranteed to be unique.

Whether you go “off the books” in a top secret “black ops” case or spend the day rehearsing for a new role to support your cover identify (of a famous and feathery actor), you are guaranteed to never get bored.

You also have to be prepared to switch roles in the blink of an eye if duty calls. Not surprisingly, this takes a level of flexibility and discretion only the most seasoned agents can pull off.

Love & Feathers is proud to present the world-famous and feathery actor Pearl Cutts in his latest one-avian play:

“The Soft Suspicious Suspect”

As ticket holders arrive for their scheduled showtime, they are told the play has been delayed. No reason is given.

Not to be deterred, they line up right in front of the doors so as to be first inside when they finally do open.

At last, a full 15 minutes late and several over-excited fainting fans later, the doors swing open. Moments later, the curtain does likewise.

Hmmmm. Something seems….off. You – yes, you, the soft thing – you look suspicious. How did you get in here?
What’s that you say? My large featherless assistant put you in here? And you expect me to believe that story?

The large and mysterious featherless being addressed only as “Mom” hurries onstage. They have a hushed consult, followed by what sounds like an irritated shriek. “Mom” hurries offstage again. The play resumes.

Well, look. She can’t remember – nothing new there – but there is no way even she would put you in with the large rectangular fabric pieces she calls “towels.” For one, you are not rectangular at all. And two, you are clearly not a “towel.”
Yes, I know you are very soft. Yes, I know you are great for napping in. Yes, I know you are made of fabric. What’s your point?
You came here disguised as a “towel,” tricked my assistant into putting you in here, and all to make a large, comfy “working nest” for your favorite famous and feathery star?
Well, when you put it like that….you still look suspicious. But I’ll make an exception – just this once.

The. End.
