Being famous and feathery can be harder than it looks.

For example, some fans will do anything – truly – to gain a personal audience with you.

This can quickly get very frustrating….especially if you are already feeling, well, peckish when they arrive.

Love & Feathers is proud to present the world-famous and celebrated feathery actor Pearl Cutts in his latest one-avian play:

“The Waffle Imposter”

The stage area is curtained and quiet when the fans first file in.

Everyone busies themselves finding their seats and “oohing” and “aahing” over the exceptionally cute photos of the star inside their programs.

[This time, the auditorium staff has finally gotten smart and placed pillows along the aisles to catch the fainters as they go down. This at least makes it quieter so the rest of the audience can hear the opening lines.]

Just then, the star strides onstage (as a few well-muffled “thuds” can be heard in the background) wearing an inquisitive look. He is heard to mutter, “Waffles, eh?….”

Well hello there, um, well, what did you say your name is again?
“Waffles?” Hahaha! That’s a good one! No, really – what is your real name?
Okay, old chap, I’m afraid I’m going to have to call your bluff. You may have many names, but I will guarantee you that “Waffles” isn’t one of them!
Not bad….a kind of a crispy, crunchy flavor. But you are definitely not “Waffles.” You have a paparazzi hidden in there, don’t you?
Sheesh. The paparazzi will do just about anything to get to me these days….MOOOOOOOOMMMMM!

The mysterious being known only as “Mom” instantly appears to soothe the clearly ruffled feathers of her VIP charge.

She can be heard uttering soft reassurances about “the Small Chef’s fresh toasted waffles for snack break” as she ushers the disgruntled star off stage…..

The. End.
