From the outside looking in, life as a famous and feathery superstar sure can seem posh. But stars can have their challenges just like everybody else.

Take snacks, for instance. Let’s say your fans know you have a particularly sensitive palate. So they are always sending you new delicacies to sample. Some of these delicacies are delicious. Some are….not quite so delicious. And the only way to reliably tell which is which is to try them all!

Love & Feathers is proud to present the world-famous and feathery actor Pearl Cutts in his latest one-avian play:

“Wal-Nut”

As fans crowd their way into the theater, they are so busy competing for the front row seats they don’t even notice the open stage and its lone small occupant.

What they do notice is the sudden appearance of their favorite feathery actor, which – miraculously – sends normally contentious butts towards seats faster than you can say “.007!”

Oh! Hello there! And you are….?
Your name is “Wal-Nut” and you are here for the snack auditions? Yes, you are in the right place. Yes, I will be the one auditioning you.
So, Wal-Nut. How would you describe your flavor profile? Nutty, you say? Could you be more specific? No, “very nutty” is still not specific enough.
You are crispy and crunchy? Yes, that is better. Yes, as a matter of fact I am on the hunt for crispier, crunchier snacks.
So why don’t you give it your best shot and we’ll see what happens!

At this point, the conversation is interrupted by the distinct sound of chomping and crunching.

Hmmmm. Interesting. So, look, thanks for stopping by to audition. Yes, of course we’ll be in touch.

As if on cue, the mysterious being known only as “Mom” suddenly appears. Without a word, she escorts Wal-Nut off stage and returns to soothe clearly ruffled feathers.

Soon, the unmistakable aroma of “toasting waffle” begins to waft from backstage. The curtain draws shut.

The End.
