Here at Casa Feathers n Beak, reading is a flock-wide tradition.
While some of us like to focus on the words on the page, while others of us prefer to focus on the crispiness of those pages, it is safe to say no book entering this household lacks for attention.
So Pearl thought it would be a great idea to combine his literary knowledge with his mommy’s typing skills to offer a “book o’ the week” review – just in time for your weekend reading list!
This week, the book is “Big Magic“ by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Pearl’s review: There weren’t really any birds in this book. However, it did have a thoroughly lovely and colorful crispy cover (many of the books my mommy brings home don’t have this, which is not doing them any favors IMO). Another book with a very crispy, crunchy cover that has more parrots in it is this one, which I highly recommend!
His mommy’s review: This book isn’t about feathers, per se. But it is about creativity, which is a quality all feathered beings are well known for. Plus I loved the hypothesis that “ideas” are beings too – and that perhaps one or several are flying near us all the time just looking for the right partner to help them bring more bright creative wonders into this world!
Happy reading!
With love (& feathers),
Shannon & Pearl
