The cockatiel is a very popular and cute member of the parrot species.
But unlike other parrots, it has a genus, Nymphicus, and family, Nymphicinae, all to itself (the fact that neither is easy to pronounce does not detract from the significance of this one bit).
Cockatiels begin their lives inside eggs.
Precocious even before birth, they perform their first daredevil stunt when they break out of their own egg and proceed to stun all the other beings with “cuteness” so they will immediately begin bringing food and gifts and treats.
In time, many cockatiels elect to choose a large featherless assistant that they can train to continue bringing food and gifts and treats. Sometimes the assistant will even serve as a matchmaker when the time comes to make an egg of their own.
With such a unique and trend-setting look, there is clearly only one modeling agency that could really do it justice.
