Night jars are a type of hawk that like to hunt at night.

They are great at hiding in plain sight in day or night – worthy of .007 himself.

Night jars have large round eyes and the males have white patches (the better to be spotted by lady night jars, of course).

The male night jar is also a master at defending his turf, using a series of calls, wing claps and hisses to let rivals know a spot is reserved.

With such fierce ferociousness to be found in such a small, cute package, the “Night Jar” was a natural choice for Wet Bird Couture’s latest must-have look!
