Jet planes and parrots have a lot in common.
For instance, both have wings.
Both also “take off” and “land” frequently.
And both need regular maintenance to stay looking (and flying) at their best.
In the same way, if you have wings and feathers (which of course are just eco-friendly versions of those jet propulsion packs they strap onto the wings of less attractive “manmade” flyers) you need to make sure you keep your wings, fuselage, cockpit, tail, and landing gear in pristine condition.
