Interspecies Flock Life with Shannon: Family We Choose

In the world of the large shell-less beings, there is a saying.

“Family is the flock you choose.”

Or something like that.

But what many beings don’t realize is that your family flock members don’t all have to be from your same species.

In fact, you can populate your family o’ choice with any species or even all species!

Let’s say you are pondering who to add next to your family and you become aware that you really love beings with shells.

And, as luck would have it, your flock doesn’t have any shells in it.

Yet.

This realization fills you up to the brim with delight, because you realize there is a shelled being out there somewhere who is just waiting to find their family too.

So you go out looking.

You look and look, and then one day you see the cutest face.

This face is covered with red dots and has the warmest brown eyes and the sweetest smile.

And you just know.

You know with your whole heart that this shell is supposed to be a part of your family.
