In the early days of featherless culture there was a popular saying – “bringing home the bacon.”
Those who could “bring home the bacon” were considered quite the catch amongst featherless females, who often competed hotly for their affections.
While there is less of an urgent need today to literally haul home one’s supper, a little figurative demonstrating can certainly never hurt.
Hi there. My name is Pearl and you look delicious. Just perfect for my new project. So look. What I need you to do is just lay there and I am going to “bring you home.”Did anyone ever tell you that you ask a lot of questions? No you don’t get to opt out of “going home” and yes it is a very nice place. Nice and warm and dark – you’ll love it, I promise. And don’t pay any attention to the large featherless being over there – she is just documenting the process I use for a few lady friends of mine.Okay, now remember what I told you – just lay there and hold still.First I will open my beak…A bit wider should do it…And…..STRIKE!And HOLD…..Yes, that’s good, Mom, one final shot of me guarding the “bacon” for the ladybirds should do it.
