Monday Happys: Bird Breakfast

It is no secret that, between feathered beings and featherless beings, the beings without feathers have a lot more trouble getting out of bed.

On any day of the week, it might require one or several sessions of “shrieking” for a feathered being to rouse his large featherless assistant.

On a Monday, even with extra backup from the small rectangular shrieking box, it can take twice as long as on any other day of the week.

But there is one surefire way to entice your assistant to get up. Bird breakfast. The moment you – while inside your still-covered cage – jump into your food bowl and start loudly crunching and chomping, this will induce your assistant to feel something called “guilt.”

You are hungry. They are snoring. Therefore, you have to eat yesterday’s bird food.

And you are very cute. And so feathery. And you are such a love bug, with big round soft eyes and a sweet curved beak and cute pink feet…..

And they’re up! Suddenly, they have found the courage to meet another Monday head-on, and it is all because of you!

Pearl rewards his newly roused large featherless assistant with a big dose of Monday morning “cuteness” as he prepares to dig in to a fresh portion of bird breakfast.
