Certain beings are lucky enough to have innate traits (like sharp beaks) to allow them to customize their surroundings to their liking.

Because these beings often also have specific thoughts about the decor they find most pleasing, customization, once begun, is typically swift and specific.

For example, say your mommy works hard to create a safe window perch for you (one that keeps you away from the paint, grout, caulking, and other elements you especially enjoy).

You like the overall look and feel of the perching device, but it lacks the truly “personalized” touch that clearly says “This is MINE.”

So imagine your joy when you discover Mom made the perch out of your favorite customizable material – cardboard!

Mom looks really surprised – I’ll bet she’s very proud of me for customizing her design so quickly!
Yup. I was right. She went to go get that flashing device she likes to point at me. I’ll just pose so she can brag to all her friends.
