No matter how skilled and savvy you may be at winning the game o’ love, some years it is just inevitable you will get a late start to the nesting season.
Perhaps your spring molt took longer than usual. Or maybe your large featherless assistant mistook your stockpile of nesting materials for cage liners and this pushed back your build start date.
But none of this means you have to miss your opportunity to make some cute cockatiel eggs of your very own. In fact, far from it.
All you have to do is listen closely with your keen avian ears until you hear opportunity knocking – and then go for it with gusto!

Ummmm Shannon — This sentence made my eyebrows go up a little: “But none of this means you have to miss your opportunity to make some cute cockatiel eggs of your very own.” Pearl is a male right? I would be very interested if he makes some cute cociatiel eggs of his very own. 😉
Haha-point well taken! The hope a ladybird will appear springs eternal!
