Day 151: Circle O’ Toys

Being small and very cute with feathers has its perks.

For instance, often your doting grandparents (aka the “Tall Tree” and the “Small Tree”) like to buy you posh presents.

Of course, after your mommy unwraps them and sets them up for you, you must establish ownership so she doesn’t mistakenly assume you want to share your bounty.

You can use various techniques to communicate who owns the new toys, the most successful of which are demonstrated here.

Shredding the toy with your sharp beak is a good way to let others know it is yours.

Climbing up onto the top of the toy (while positioning your bottom right over the center of it) is another effective territory-staking maneuver.

You can also do daredevil tricks off the side of the toy (that frequently require your mommy to rescue you) to show you will go to any lengths to secure it as yours.
